Christine Blakley joined the ACA faculty in 2010 after relocating to the Tuscaloosa area with her family. She has been teaching high school English since 1998 after graduating from Kansas State University. She currently teaches English 12, Advanced English 11, Advanced English 12, and Creative Writing, and she oversees several online and dual enrollment courses. Christine is the proud mother of four children. Her oldest son Jacob graduated from ACA in 2011. Her other three children attend ACA, and you frequently see her walking down the hallway in the morning with her troop (ages 12, 7, and 4) trailing behind. Christine's undergraduate degree is in Secondary Education with certification in English, Speech, and Theater. She is currently finishing her Master's Degree (MAT) at the University of West Alabama. She has taught grades 9-12 during her teaching career in both public and private schools in Kansas, Tennessee, and Alabama. In her free time, Christine enjoys spending time with her family, reading, writing, traveling, and acting/directing in community theater. When she was 14 years old, she accepted Christ as her Savior at summer church camp and was baptized in a lake by her father. She feels tremendously blessed to be teaching in a Christian school and loves being a part of the ACA family. Her favorite bible verse is Romans 8:38-39.
